Interactive Collision Detection for 3D Environments
Abstract
This paper presents a collision detection algorithm for 3D simulated environments. It describes the implementation of a collision detection approach using the Overlapping Axis-Aligned Bounding Box (OAABB) and R-trees to improve petformance. Experimental results show that this implementation is effective in determining interactively intersections between 3D models.
