dc.description.abstract | The VR Studio was founded in 1992 to explore the potential of Virtual Reality technology for theme park attractions. This paper presents an overview of the VR Studio s history, from the location-based entertainment attractions developed for DisneyQuest, to research in using virtual reality technology for theme park design. The goal is to present many of the lessons learned during 10 years of building interactive virtual worlds. In particular, the paper will focus on the challenge of creating location-based virtual reality attractions for the mass audience. | en_US |
