dc.description.abstract | We present an adaptive method for scattered data interpolation. The method is based on multilevel nonuniform Bsplines. It makes use of a coarse-to-fine hierarchy of control lattices to generate a sequence of bicubic nonuniform B-spline functions whose sum approaches the desired interpolation function. Experimental results demonstrate that the method performs better than the method using uniform B-splines. | en_US |
