This paper deals with an important topic: the automatic co-registration of terrestrial laser scanner data and high-resolution digital images. Our approach harnesses the power of a single image-based modeling method developed focusing on obtaining a spatial dimensional analysis from a single image. Particularly, the problem of image registration is solved automatically through a camera calibration method which takes 2D and 3D points correspondences as input data based on a search of spatial invariants: two distances and one angle.en_US
